Sheepshead clan
Hi this is Jacob, Caleb, Adan, Andrew, Chase, and Christian. We are doing a project for the San Diego coast keepers. We are manly showing you the sheepshead fish which is a very strange looking fish. We will be showing other fish. The sheepshead fish is almost extinct and we are trying to show you how much different it can be with those fish, if we were able to leave most of them alone. Oil spills that are happening right now are not good for the fish in the water many fish are dieing including the sheepshead and that's not good. millions of fish died of the bp's oil spill and that is tons of fish and im sure that some sheepshead died to. When sardines get bigger they become pilchards, which are a favored food of marlin, humpbacks, minke, seals, dolphins, cormorants, gulls and sharks. Plus they make a great bait for tailor. The shelf life of a can of sardines far exceeds the expected life of a sardine in the ocean.  A lot of fish die of pollution every day and it because most people don't care. Thousands of fish die from the pollution and that is not good. A majority of San Diegans live close to the ocean, but a large number never get to explore our local beaches, ocean and waterways. Few residents understand the role we all play in contributing to the dangerous pollution levels of our bays, watersheds and ocean, and the fact that everyone in San Diego should play a part in restoring the county’s environmental health. Us children can make something change and we will have a better time in the ocean instead of worrying about whats happening in the ocean.
